Career Counseling

Career counseling?  Yes, career counseling.  Maybe as part of your separation your former company is paying for retraining, career counseling or assistance in finding a job.  After you’re done rolling your eyes it won’t hurt much to look in to the resource.  Besides if you’re not paying for it… Even if you do have to pay for it, knowledge is power.  Check it out.  Many career counseling services have great websites for training, resume building and samples, researching companies and industries and how-to find a job classes, job hunting assistance and other training.  Some of the stuff on sites is free, take advantage of it.  Other stuff is going to cost you some money.  You know your situation and what may help.  You decide what to do.  Surf some sites and see what you find.
